This communication serves to inform you that SAIW Certification is starting a transition process to migrate all clients from ISO 9712: 2012 to the new ISO 9712: 2021 standard.

All existing NDT certifications issued by SAIW Certification remain valid until their expiry date. The transition affects all valid NDT ISO 9712: 2012 certificates being renewed or recertifications.

The deadline for the transition period is December 2026. SAIW aims to ensure a smooth process therefore a structured approach shall be used to facilitate the process.

The process shall start from February 2026. The new criteria has been posted on the SAIW website in the new application forms.

New requirements are defined in the application form for those who will be submitting initial applications.
