This communication serves to inform you that SAIW Certification is starting a transition process to migrate all clients from ISO 9712: 2012 to the new ISO 9712: 2021 standard.

The process will result in all existing NDT certifications issued by SAIW Certification being re-issued. The transition affects all valid NDT ISO 9712: 2012 certificates. The deadline for the transition period is December 2026. SAIW aims to ensure a smooth process therefore a structured approach shall be used to facilitate the process.

The process shall start from February 2026. We aim to facilitate the transitions between February and July 2026. The transition plan with set criteria will be made available on the SAIW website so you may know when to submit your applications.

We kindly ask that you adhere to the set periods to allow for a smooth transition process. We shall increase the number of personnel who will assist you. Transition communication lines shall be established. New requirements are defined in the application form for those who will be submitting initial applications. The forms shall be made available on the SAIW website in due course. The detailed requirements for each level shall be detailed on the website.
