Content

THEORY:

One closed book multiple choice examination covering the scope for the relevant level of diploma selected by the candidate.

Diploma Levels:
International Fillet Welder
International Plate Welder
International Pipe Welder

PRACTICAL:

Two test pieces to be welded for each level of diploma in accordance with the International Institute of Welding Guideline for International Welders. The acceptance standard will be ISO 9606 or EN287-1 or ASME Section IX

Duration

Theory examination : 2.5 hours minimum
Practical examination: 1-3 hours depending on the level of diploma

Minimum pass mark

Theory: 60%
Practical: Successful completion of the required test pieces and acceptance to the selected code or standard
