SAIW Certification and Training Manager John McLeish says in the year ending December 2008, a total of 332 Level 1 and 98 Level 2 Welding Inspectors qualified.

"Although these numbers included inspectors qualified in Durban and Cape town, the demand for the Johannesburg dinner was such that SAIW had to split the awards into two presentations, the second of which will be held in April 2009"

This is further evidence that the SAIW Welding Inspector training courses are going from strength to strength and that the qualifications are still in great demand from industry.
