Eddy Current Testing (ECT) – Durban

Eddy Current Testing (ECT) is a NDT testing method which utilises electromagnetic induction to inspect electrically conductive materials.  It is an effective and accurate method for detection of both surface and subsurface indications, especially in tubular materials.  ECT testing is widely used in many industries, including the aviation industry where its application is successful in the detection of defects in aluminium alloys.
